The Market Doesn’t Need Another Feed. It Needs a Memory.

4 minutes

Most financial platforms are built around the present.

They show you today’s biggest movers, the latest earnings announcement, the analyst upgrade everyone is discussing, and the stock suddenly appearing in every group chat. By tomorrow, the feed has refreshed. The story has changed. Your reaction to it has disappeared.

That creates a strange problem: investors consume more market information than ever, but retain very little evidence of how they actually think.

You may remember liking NVIDIA before its next rally. You may vaguely recall dismissing an ETF that later outperformed. You may insist you “always knew” a company was overvalued—but without a timestamped record, memory tends to become more flattering after the outcome is known.

SQRD is being built around a different idea: your market feed should have a memory.

When you react to a company in SQRD, the action means something. Bullish, bearish, unsure, or pass records where you stood at that moment. SQRD connects that reaction to the exact story, supporting evidence, and market price you saw before the outcome was known.

Then the market moves.

Weeks or months later, SQRD can match back with the decision:

“You passed on QQQ at $565. It is now up 21%.”

The point is not to punish you for being wrong or congratulate you for being right. A rising price does not automatically make the original thesis correct, just as a falling price does not prove it was foolish. The point is to give you a clean record of your thinking—and enough context to examine it honestly.

Maybe you repeatedly identify strong consumer companies before their financial results catch up. Maybe you are good at spotting changes in sentiment but consistently underestimate valuation risk. Maybe the companies you feel most confident about perform worse than the ones you approach cautiously.

Those patterns are difficult to see in a brokerage account. A brokerage records what you bought and sold. It does not record every opportunity you considered, rejected, saved, misunderstood, or almost acted on.

SQRD does.

Over time, those reactions form something more valuable than a watchlist: a history of your judgment. Not a simulated portfolio. Not a public prediction game. A private record of how you interpret evidence and make decisions under uncertainty.

That is Match Back.

Most investing products help you monitor the market. SQRD helps you monitor your relationship with it.

Because the market will always generate another headline. The more interesting question is whether you are becoming better at deciding which ones matter.

Join the SQRD waitlist to build a market feed that remembers.
